Start by deciding on the fitting style:
- Recess mount: The blind sits inside your window frame for a neat, built-in look.
- Relief mount (face fit): The blind is fixed to the wall or frame and covers the whole window.
When measuring, take the width and height in three places (top, middle, bottom/left, centre, right) and use the smallest measurement.
For recess mount, we’ll make a small adjustment to ensure the brackets fit. For relief mount, add at least +2″ width and +3″ height so the blind overlaps the frame.
Blinds roll up to around 2–2.5″ thick with the pole, so always check your window recess depth.
- Recess mount: Blind fits neatly inside the window recess.
- Relief mount: Blind is attached outside the recess or to the wall, covering the window completely.
Yes! Fully rolled blinds (including the pole) are 2.16–2.36″ thick. Please measure your window depth to ensure you can still open your window without obstruction.
